Dan Reynolds is a professional Neil Diamond "vocal impressionist. When he was 11 years old, he heard a song called "Solitary Man" on his transistor radio. The words of the song were intriguing, the melody was exhilarating, and the voice was unforgettable. In a span of 2 minutes and 33 seconds, Dan became a Neil Diamond fan. From that moment, he looked for every opportunity to hear that song again, and to his delight, there were other songs sung by Neil Diamond, and many more to come. Dan sang along to the radio, and was very aware of how he mimicked every inflection of Neil's voice.

It wasn't until Dan was in high school, that a friend mentioned how much he sounded like Neil Diamond. Now aware of how the years had deepened his voice, Dan began to focus even more on Neil's vocal impression. Over time, Dan was able to achieve the deep rich notes, and incorporate the raspy quality that fans have come to appreciate. While in the Air Force, Dan purchased a guitar and a Neil Diamond song book so he could both sing and play. Over the next 4 decades, Dan honed his vocal impression to the degree that sometimes even he couldn't tell if his recorded voice was his or Neil's. 

Dan married in 1975, and his as his family grew, he focused on providing for them. He still played Neil Diamond songs, but it had become a hobby, as was writing novels. (he wrote 3 of them), and all the while, he wondered if he was good enough to sing professionally. Dan retired in 2019, and was looking for something to do. His wife convinced him to create a Neil Diamond tribute show. She recognized the public's desire to hear Neil's songs in a live environment. Dan performed a few songs at a friend's show, and the response was so strong that he was able to book his own show. Every performance led to more shows and better venues. Dan now performs his show from a pallet of 72 of Neil's greatest songs. If you close your eyes, it's difficult to tell that it's not Neil, himself, singing. Dan's performances are a real tribute to one of the most popular singer-songwriters the world has ever known.
